Nobody knows better than America's farmers and ranchers how important natural resources are. Without proper stewardship of the land, their livelihood wouldn't exist; nor would most Americans have the cornucopia of meat and vegetables we've grown used to.
Yet, as America's rural citizens face pressure from government bureaucrats to stop grazing their animals or severely restrict their water usage -- or to simply go away -- most urban dwellers remain oblivious due to an almost universal black-out of news coverage.
That's where Tim Findley comes into the picture.
Findley knows journalism and isn't afraid to use it. He is a 25-year veteran of the media industry who wrote for the San Francisco Chronicle -- he broke the stories on Patty Hearst while working there. Rolling Stone, UPI, KPIX-TV and KGO-TV also grace his resume. Now he's covering issues dear to America's rural people as a mainstay writer for Range Magazine.
Findley, in addition to his many articles outlining predicaments of ranchers and farmers, has helped to unveil some of the more intriguing political and economic trends that face us today. His fall 2003 report, "This Land is OUR Land; Untamed nature and the removal of humans", exposed the Wildlands Project for what it is: an attempt to rid nature of all human presence.

After fourteen years of courtroom battles to regain control over the property he claims was taken from him, you could say that rancher Wayne Hage knows a thing or two about private property, the law and government coercion. Michael Shaw hosts a discussion with Hage during a special two-hour edition of the Freedom 21 radio show.
Hage, whose wife Helen is a former member of Congress, will tell of his winding journey through the courts after federal agencies pushed him off the land and criminalized his normal ranch operations. He will describe how the government has lost all semblance of respect for the institution of private property (which undergirds all other rights), and how the implementation of Sustainable Development policies will eradicate liberty and justice for all.
Whether you're a rancher, a suburbanite or a city dweller, this show is sure to give you something to think about. Wayne Hage doesn't just tell a good story -- he gives great advice on how ordinary citizens can stand up for themselves, even in a judicial system where the chips are stacked against them.
Learn more about private property, why it matters, what's going on in the courts, and how YOU can make a difference for the future.

The Liberty Committee is a beltway coalition of individuals who are doing their best to hold back the flood of nonsensical and horrifying legislation being passed by a lame duck Congress. They have steadfastly refused to compromise on issues such as the wholesale drugging of America's children, or the sovereignty-busting Law of the Sea Treaty.
At the end of 2004, despite the efforts of the Liberty Committee and nearly 20,000 Americans who contacted their representatives, Congress pushed through the compulsory mental health screening legislation, but Ron Paul and other representatives hope to regain some ground in the new session that starts in January.
